Thanks for all your great suggestions.
I'll certainly try the garlick, and FOR DA BEN DAN JUAN's suggestion is good.
Tbird's suggestion was also great.
I feel better already!

a good romp in the sack should burn it out of you but remember to keep the fluids up.

Lots of liquids, lots of bedrest.
And unless you plan to give the flu to someone else - the bedrest should be alone.
Edit: Mop your brow? I'll be right over but to be on the safe side I'll sleep on the couch tonight. No sense us both getting the flu at the same time. Here - have some chicken soup.

NO VITAMIN C!!! This is sooooo stupid. Think about it, what is vitamin c found in? Oranges. Oranges are acidic which hurts your throat when it's sore and disrupts your stomach.
No citrus foods and no cold or fizzy drinks or food.
Stay warm, drink hot water with raw ginger and a little honey, that settles you're stomach and warms your system up really quickly! I know it sounds gross but it works miracles!
If you have a sore throat than REALLY stay away from anything cold!

Buy a bulb of garlic pull off a clove peel it and cut it into 4-5 pieces and swallow them down like a tablet with a glass of water. Tomorrow you'll feel back to normal. "It really works" Everyone who I have told this too all swears by it and I have received many e-mails thanking me for telling them I've never taken a day off from work with a cold or flu, by doing this.

Drink some hot green tea, take a nice steamy shower, and rest.
That is what I tell all of my massage clients, and it usually works fairly well for them.
