You can check your local township or county for previous owners. Also, if you know that notable events took place there, then check old newspaper records at the library.
Another easy way to find out some history is to check with the oldest living neighbors that you have around who may have lived there for most or all of their life. They will know a lot about the property, previous owners, anything worthwhile that may have happened concerning your house.
Good Luck!!

I don't know beans abouat Ireland, but in the US, there's something called the "Abstract" that lists all the former owners and the dates of sale, clear back to when the house was built. Ireland probably has something similar. If you can get your hands on that, you'll have the history of your house in the proverbial nutshell.

I think you should google your adress, but if your house is new and modern there will most lickly just be new and modern people who lived there before. Ask the people in the neighborhood, and the person who would know the most is the realestate agent who sold you the house. Ask him for the previus owner's number, then ask him for the owner before that's number and so on.
PS. If there is a history on your house, like murders and spirits on google, then your house is so huanted,
listen for sounds at night and record it. that will tell you if its haunted for sure, if you here somthing on the recording but not in the house itself
Hope that what you find you think its cool and not too scary
bye!!

There are records of lans and house ownership where deeds and such are registered. You can find the history of property owners from that.
From newspapers you might be able to glean information about people who lived there - things that happened to them and such.
There might be a hostorical society in the town or area and they will have records of histories of places and people int he town. they may have a record of deeds. Voting registers, Courhouse records, records of baptisms, births & Deaths are also help.

As I have said in respect of another question of this type, you cannot get a sensible answer unless you specify the country in which the property is situate.
