1. REBA MCENTIRE. Her voice is just so powerful. She is also so sweet and you have to feel bad for her because she lost some of her band members in the plane crash in 1991. I LOVE HER MUSIC

Today's best are Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Leanne Rhimes, and maybe JoDee Messina.
Carrie Underwood couldn't stand up to any of these yet because she's still very new.

Martina McBride CLEARLY has the most powerful voice (although Carrie is now fighting for this title)
Patsy Cline was one of the most talented of the early girls.
But I would argue that Jennifer Nettle's voice is so unique and talented that I might just give her the crown of best singer of all time. Her voice kinda mixes that classic country with today's newer stuff, and she still makes it sound VERY unique. She needs to be eligible to win Female Vocalist of the Year.
