The 7 or 8 books in the series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child starting with RELIC.
Or for my favorite thrillers try Matthew Reilly. His book ICE STATION takes off from the third paragraph and keeps you hooked like a struggling fish until the end of the book. Then there is AREA 7, TEMPLE (my favorite)SEVEN DEADLY WONDERS, CONTEST. Any of those books. Jack DuBrul's Mercer series are great reads too. Then while not really edge of your seat, but still very good decipher the clues type of books try Paul Christopher. Enjoy!!
