I definitely want to know. I don't want to call my baby it while I am still pregnant, I want to be able to call them by their name.

I have a friend who just had a baby and for the whole time her doctor told her it was a boy. She had a baby shower and got everyhting for a boy. She went do a 3D ultrasound a few weeks b4 her due date with another doctor and that doctor said oh it's a girl. Sure enough she had a little girl. So sometimes doctors aren't right all the time. Good Luck and may you have a very healthy grandbaby. Happy Holidays

I was just dying to know from the moment I knew I was pregnant... It's my first so I didn't really care about which kind - I was just so curious to know! When I had my 21 week ultrasound I told them that I wanted to know (and my partner very much did not as he liked the idea of a surprise) so at the end of the appointment they asked him to leave and told only me. As it turns out he knew anyway as he had seen it on the monitor (which I couldn't) so he told me that he knew when I came out and he was right! We haven't actually told family and friends what it is yet though - it feels sort of special for us to be the only ones in on the secret right now!

I did! I am so impatient I could't even sleep for the week leading up to it! There is nothing more amazing than having someone look at you and say you are having a little ____ and then explaining all their teeny tiny parts to you! My fiancee wanted a boy so bad, when they told him it was a girl, he started to tear up and said he couldn't have been happier. I guess for both my fiancee and I it made the pregnancy more real and gave us something to look forward too. Now we can register for stuff that is pink and everyone will know she is a little girl, none of that yellow and green unisex stuff. I think there is no right decision for everyone, but for us, finding out has already helped us bond with our daughter!
Good luck grannie to be! I bet you are so excited, I know my mom and his mom are both going nuts with excitement!

I didn't want to find out, but I did anyway because the sonographer accidentally said "he" while she was doing my ultrasound. Mind you, this was 2 minutes after we told her we didn't want to know the baby's sex.
So, chances are even if you want to be surprised, you won't be because people are stupid.

I wanted to know the sex of my three. I found it was great knowing their gender, it made me feel closer to them, giving them a name early on, buying the gender specific clothing and letting the older siblings know what (and who) to expect. I don't regret it at all!

I am unable to restrain myself, I have to know! besides, its a bit unfair that the sonographer knows more about your baby than you do!
