"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing left to add, but when theres nothing left to take away"
do you agree with that? a great man once said it, and i wanted to know what you think?
I agree with it by the way because if you take away eveything, like makeup and all the stuff that modifies us, then we have reached perfection so to speak

It is just so that the path to perfection is only possible through giving and through connecting. So in other words this is why Love is such a great power in our life. Only in giving can we receive again, only in connecting with other forms can something perfect develop. If you would have a perfect looking person, without the make up, what is left is then the getting older. So there is something to give away of youth each day, if you want it or not. Can such a body then be perfect? Perfection cannot be found in material things, it is only bound on space and time and in that something can be taken away.
Perfect is only God and his laws. There is nothing left to take away and nothing can be taken away as they are perfect, never changing always the same.

It's all a matter of perspective. Perhaps the great man was distinguishing Perfection from Completeness, which are two confusable but highly different words. I think to take the full meaning out of the saying one could rephrase it as "Perfection is achieved not simply by being complete, but by the elimination of all negativities, i.e, obstacles to perfection". What say you?

I consider it a fool's errand because it just isn't possible no matter how you seek it. I prefer flaws, they are what is natural and where uniqueness comes from. To have anything that is perfect would be just too damned depressing.

I agree.
To be perfect, it should be perfect in it's purest form.
Not with things added to *help* it be considered perfect.
