Not much to go on here really. Yamaha has strengths in some areas of motorsports, and Suzuki does too. I'd pick a Yamaha cruiser over a Suzuki (actually Yamaha cruisers are called Star now). But for a sports bike it is a toss up to me. The R1 and the FZ are top class bikes, but for super bikes who could avoid giving the nod to the bike 1300 in the B-King and the Busa? And in off-road it is hard to say. Suzuki has more variety of bike types I think though.

Yamaha. Simply because I've had both, and I preferred the Yamahas. But, Honda are better than both, apparently.

Depends what engine size are you looking for.
Yamaha 100% better then suzukis, hondas and kawis.
But don't take my word for it.
Check the 600cc mid sport shootout reviews..
Check the magazines reviews, the 2006 R6 was named the best 600cc sport bike of the year, and the new 08 model is just sickker then ever.

yamaha for sure! ive had alot of yammys and suzukis, but prefer yamaha.i ride a 1978 yamaha xs650. its a fine looking bike that handles well and will retain its value. as for dirt bikes ive had alot of yammys, xt's tt's yzf's you name it! my first bike was a suzuki ts90, but i like the yammys better as ive had a good run out of them. the suzuki i class as a cheaper bike....
