That's a hard question. I can trust my gut instinct for anything except when it comes to relationships. I often just get this feeling, like I'm doing the right thing. And then it turns out that it was a good thing I followed my instincts. When it comes to relationships, my instincts are weird. I'll often think I'm making the right move, that I've picked a good guy, and then the guy will turn out to be a jerk. Or vice versa. My instincts are ridiculous when it comes to guys I meet on the Internet. They're dead wrong, more than half the time. I've had stalker issues, because my gut was saying "yes, he's a nice guy" but my mind was saying "no, run!". So now I think before I act, and I proceed with caution. Instincts are good to have. It's just knowing whether to follow them or not, that's the hard part (: Lacey

I do trust my gut, it's proven to me it works many times and that is all that matters really, that I know it works for me! I have met people that right off the bat they give me a bad feeling, a knot in my gut that just doesn't go away and I go with it, even if I am wrong, I would rather be safe than sorry! it has saved my neck a few times, so I don't doubt it or fight it!

In some cases, you must trust your gut instinct. In others, doing so can prove unfortunate.
In some areas of life, we are confronted with problems the solution to which are counterintuitive. In these instances, going with your gut will get you in trouble. One must study, research and learn before reaching decisions on these matters.
However, in other areas of life, there is no amount of study, research or education that will help you. One does not intellectually know and cannot logically prove whether or not somebody loves him or her; to the contrary, this is completely intuitive. In matters of love, there is little alternative but to go with one's gut.
Can you trust your gut instinct? Sure, you can. However, just as in matters of the intellect, our guts will not always lead us down the right path. Going with your gut does not guarantee success, but in many of life's important matters, it's all we have.

Yes. The gut feeling is often instinctive and on the face of it, it cannot be explained logically. I would rather be guided by a gut feeling rather than a deduction out of a cold blooded reasoning.

yes I trust my gut instinct!!!
I always get a nasty, gnawing feeling when someone I don't really know acts all nice to my kids or when I wake up in the middle of the night for no reason. I usually just start praying for whoever comes to my mind.

Yes, I can trust my Gut instinct,
Once, when I went shopping at a convenience store, I was walking to my car, and pushing the cart in front of me, when, from a distance I saw a guy who was walking towards me, and was approaching in a fast trot. So, I hurried almost running to my car because I felt something inside me,telling me to hurry, but as I approached, my Car, the guy was already there, so, I stayed behind the cart as a shield because I felt that he was up to no good, as he looked me in the eyes, he said that his car ran out of Gas in the Gasoline station, and could I give him a ride, because his Wife was waiting for him, in the Car. I just stared at him, and moved my Head No, and he just walked away, I felt a sense of relief, that I could feel my self going limp. for an instant but I thank God from the bottom of my Heart, for sending his Angels to protect me from Harm. After that day, I learned that a Lady had been mugged in that same store, I was in, after thirty minutes when I was there.
