The door can't open itself unless you are a ghost and can walk through the closed door. Do you want to be a ghost?

The door is made of solid wood and since I am not Casper the friendly ghost and I am made of flesh /blood and bones , it would be impossible for me to get out without opening the door.

So you don't accomplish nothing by running into a block of wood. And maybe you'd get out quicker by opening the door?

unless you can phase through doors/walls you have to open the door to get out. Mmm unless you dont have a door
