Even Sri Lanka got defeated and was given follow on. At least India didn't get follow on.
Also if pakistan, windies, newzealand or anyone would have been in place of India, they too would have gone down.
Losing to Australia doesn't prove that a team is weak.
Maybe number 2 spot is what India can achieve if not number 1, and thats very good too.

India had a bad day no doubt,and i feel sorry for the devil-obviously he is upset by India's performance today the umpires decisions have made no difference to India's total-India just batted to slow and to poorly.

There is no shame in loosing a game against Australia, who are No. 1 in the world of cricket now. However, even if you loose, you should loosing fighting hard. India had a golden opportunity to give a scare to Australia as their not too famous bowling line up restricted Australia to a modest total in the first innings and if India's famous batting line up could have atleast matched their first innings score, it would have been anybody's game, which Indian batsmen miserably failed and gave the advantage back to Australia.

congrats to billy bowden for great performance oops Aussies and congrats to punter for playing positive cricket and congrats to lee for the best sportsman spirit
Aussies deserved 343 , hayden deserved 124 , Jacques deserved 66 and Johnoson deserved 30 oops 75% of the Aussies score was scored by these three and all these three were flawless, great, umpires were so good to Indians
and also congrats to Aussies for Dhoni and Anil Kumble dismissal, what a fine sportsman they are and what a good umpire bowden is.

I believe u.... Australian group has been the ideal for over a decade... and our group is competing for the #a million slot in simple terms now.... @ recent India is genuinely greater advantageous than australia, yet i'm constructive Aussies gets back strongly.

well the way i see it is if India do loose atleast Anil Kumble can return homw and hold his head high.it is the rest of the team who are letting the team down..it takes 11 to win a match not just 1..i really feel for him(Anil)..he goes out there on day 1 and laughs in our aussie faces,but what then happened to them?? his batters could'nt back him up could theY?/once again it was up to an "oldie" to do all the work...
and just to mention i have said before India is'nt a weak team,it's just they have a few weak players..players who need to help their captain a little more..

I think they will improve.India is known to be in such situations often.
Bowling out the Aussies should be the only consolation.They must stretch the Aussies as far as possible for the win.

You are right my friend ,However, before flying to Australia, Indian made big claim of winning and now they have to accept their failure....and one more thing you may have seen pump and show of Indian players all over channels........LOL

you are right.. now aussies are very strong i told earlier.. for aussies to come down to very teams level.. they have to be defeated in the world cup first.. then they should loose 8 out ten test and one day series.. then you can say that they are beatable..
