They are relatively accurate. There's no way to give a percentage or anything, but generally, early scans done by 12 weeks are usually accurate in estimating conception within 1-3 weeks.

was it your 12 week scan that gave you the due date or your LMP that gave the due date?

I personally think that your period or earliest scan is the most reliable. The later the scan the more room for foetal difference. I am only 12weeks and already have a week difference between due dates.
My LMP due date is 10th July, 7 week scan said 13th July and 12 week scan today said 7th July so really its anyones guess. I am personally going to take the due date based on my last period (the 10th) as it is smack bang in the middle and more accurate that the ultrasound averages.

However when I went for my son's ultrasound at 18weeks the measured gestation was exactly the same as I thought from my last period and he was born only 2 days late. So sometimes they can be spot on.

best of luck. Just keep close to home the week either side of 27th and you'll be fine!

I was told that ultrasound due dates can be up to 2 weeks off. You can come 2 wks before to 2 wks after but thats in the beginning as you get farther along the dates get more accurate depending on the rate of growth of the baby. Now as for the dates that tell you how far along you are in the beginning usually the scan date is usually about 2-4 days off because they are measuring the size and going by how far along you should be based on how big your peanut is.

Conception date is hard to figure without knowing your cycle but the scans are pretty accurate but they can be off. You'll know more as your pregnancy progresses and they start to measure your uterus. They will use your lmp, the scan and the measurements later in pregnancy to determine your estimated due date.
