Mickey Charles Mantle is my alltime favorite player without a doubt. If he could have only stayed healthy, there is no telling how much better his already great career would have been as he could run like a rabbit, throw like a cannon and hit the ball a mile. Of course he is well known for his long distance homeruns during his career.

I've lived in Houston my entire life so Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell are my favorite players of all time. You can't mention one without the other.

Mickey Mantle. Far from the best and a terrible example of talent abused, but the most charismatic player I've ever watched. Hey, there were better players, but the Mick wasn't too shabby!!! No one ever looked better hitting a home run or striking out.

Josh Gibson.
He was a ***** Leaguer who hit "almost 800 home runs" (says his HOF plaque) in 17 seasons with Homestead and Pittsburgh. He died of a brain tumor in 1947, just 3 months before the color barrior in baseball was broken, at 35.
