my favorite nfl team is not doing good this season. I thought they were goig to win the superbowl this year. I know why their doing bad though. Its beacuse of injuries, coaching, roster depth, developing players, ageing players, bad momentum, and not destined for them to have a winning season this year. It is a combination of problems which need to be addressed in the offseason and shake things up again. However, whatever happens i am still a denver broncos fan and i do believe they will win superbowl(s) in the near future to add to the frachises 2 superbowls. I think hope they win a third superbowl for their frachise next season, but they have to address their problems, especially in this upcoming offseason. Go Denver Broncos.

So many reasons, so little time!
1. Poor coaching-
CHI- Do not kick to Devin Hester!
GB- Should have gone in for the kill during regulation instead of going for the tie.
Really predictable play calling, especially inside the red zone. One more run up the middle on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and goal and I'm gonna puke!
Can't stop the run. Defensive players out of position because DJ can't direct the defense like Al Wilson did.
DJ belongs back on WLB side.

2. injuries- Lepsis is the only starter from the beginning of "06 on the O-line, due to attrition and injury. And he is recovering from the injury he had in '06. If Al Wilson hadn't had that horrible neck injury at the end of "06 he would be out there directing the defense.
If we would have had Marshall, Walker and Stokley all healthy at WR, no one could have covered all three of them.
Rod Smith gone for the year, he may be done.
All our RB's keep getting hurt as well.

3. Lousy O-line and D-line-O-line, injuries to Nalen and Hamilton the biggest problem. D-line we wasted $$$ on old, slow, fat has beens like Sam Adams (a cheeseburger away from 400 lbs!) and Simeon Rice (locker room cancer who wouldn't mentor our young guys). We should have kept Gerard Warren. We gave him away for nothing to the Raiders. He's a starter and doing very well there.

Those are 3 big reasons. We also had a number of lousy drafts. If we could do as well as we did in the '06 draft every year
(Cutler, Marshall, Dumervil, Scheffler, trade for Walker) we would have more playmakers on the team.

Some team has to suck. Why not the Broncos. Those of us that have been on the bottom a lot are tired of being there. And any way your still not on the bottom the Raiders are. Now there is a team that sucks.

Injuries on offense (3 of the starting 5 OL, Walker out almost all year, Henry out most of the year). The defense is what puzzled me. Going into the year I thought they would be tough, they haven't been at all. A few bright spots have been Cutler, I think he gets better almost every week and will continue to improve. And they found a monster WR in Brandon Marshall. Will just hope they get the D troubles fixed by next year.

Every team goes threw a bad luck period. This just happens to be there time. They also lost some good players, so the team needs to readjust a bit. There not so bad! Maybe next year will be their year.

Broncos will continue to get worst year over year until they get rid of Shanahan. The team chemistry is gone, and only a new coach with new energy can bring the team back to its old glory.

They gamble to often. Shanahan has an attitude that everyone deserves a 2nd(3rd, 4th, 52nd) chance. He drafts and signs players that he shouldn't. He moved up in the draft a few years ago to take Clarett in the 3rd round. When most teams thought he was a cancer and wouldnt take him another example is Travis Henry who had already had drug run ins with the league but shanahan brought him in and signed him. To many gambles and to much reading his own press.

Lack of talent. They do not have a RB. John Lynch is getting old. Javon Walker has been banged up. Cutler is inconsistent. Shanahan is overrated, can't do it without Elway, Davis and Sharpe.

Shanahan should leave the sidelines..he's getting too old..and someone else made a good point..they do keep giving the worst guys tryouts--a sure sign of desperation. And they pick Cutler?!?
