I would attribute this to coincidence in general and confirmation bias in particular. When you have one subject or person in mind you are more likely to notice things that have a connection with that person or subject, but there are literally thousands of things you don't take note of because they aren't related to that which you are thinking about.

I don't think anyone can answer this question with any real authority or knowledge. What you choose to believe is up to you. Certainly if you believe it was your father letting you know that he was helping and looking over you then it could be called paranormal. Some of the events may have well been coincidence but your noticing them and connecting them (humans instinctively look for patterns) was not coincidence.
I would suggest that the events may have been examples of synchronicity (link below).

I wouldn't necessarily judge these occurences as either paranormal or coincidence. What you experienced is actually what we refer to as "signs." People ask for signs all the time, especially when in despair. I personally believe that when this happens to me it is a sign. However, I also deal in facts. And the facts do state that a person tends to notice things associated with their current thoughts. This is exactly why people see signs of their significant other after a horrible fight or breakup. Those things were always there, they just went unnoticed. I know it seems that I am contradicting myself, but regardless of facts sometimes you need to follow your heart. I guess your faith is what needs to lead the way on this one. Don't let anyone else tell you what to feel.

This happened to me so much I expected it to happen after awhile. It was "normal". But now I don't know...who it was. I think what they say about being "aware" makes you see these things more and they "jump out " at you in a way. But I'm not like those who think it's a coincidence. I think "something" or "someone" MAKES you aware..opens your eyes to things that were around you that you never noticed. There MIGHT be spirits (family members ..loved ones etc) trying to "show " us things..but we usually"closed our eyes" . The hard thing is trying to figure out what they're trying to say. I usually would just say "Hi". BUT...did you ever see a cartoon or something with something like a man choking..and waving his hands..and the people who saw him thought he was "waving" and they wave back?(not realizing that he's choking) I don't mean that the spirits are "choking" or anything like that. I just wonder if sometimes they were trying to tell me something.. and I just "waved back". I just could never "figure it out". This is just my thoughts based on my experiences. I'm not an expert in this. Have you ever noticed that when people get what they call "Born Again"(churchwise) ..that it usually happens when they 've hit bottom and are almost suicidal.. and are "crying out"? Then God (or whoever) finally lets themself be known...and you feel what feels like LOVE pouring all over you... or being hugged or held..and you start noticing how beautiful the world is (and people think you're either on drugs or crazy). I think it's kinda like that.

I dont believe in coincidences, After my father passed I noticed similar things, I just say HI Dad and figure its his way of letting me know he is still around. If you really want to know (and I know this sounds silly, but give it a chance) ask God or whoever you believe in, that if this is really my dad trying to talk with me show me feathers, put a time limit on it , say for 2 weeks. Doing this may pleasently surprise you.

I agree with the others. You just lost someone very close and dear to you and conciously you were asking for his help, so it is LOGICAL that you would notice little occurances that remnd you of him, but it is important that it dosen't matter if its real or not to us because we are not the ones suffering as you are from personla loss. I think you should believe what you wish in this matter, because although you'll miss him the rest of your life, noticing things like this and remembering what he liked and disliked is going to be the only way for you to heal.

You are probably just noticing those things connected to your father more. But no-one can really answer your question - it's a matter of faith (in my personal opinion I think it's just a coincidence).

Probably a coincidence, because you tend to you put 2 and 2 together and you will always fit things together. But I do believe in ghosts..... so it could have paranormal... but in this case I wouldn't say so.

All that matters is that it made you feel better. Could be just a coincidence but doesn't make you feel better with the thought that someone is looking after you.

Hello
The answer could be either.
When you wish to have spirit close it is common to witness them in the ways that you have written. Spirit will come via the easiest route & that is often memories etc.
It is also quite common for the subconscious mind to become active & bring these things to your mind.
The answer as to which lies with you - which one do you feel was the truth?
