SSD: you are forgiveful, conflicted marriage is worse than a divorce, wish you can totally forget about it in the future.

i agree to the first answer. however, some people can put up with an affair that ended and tried to save their marriage but i doubt if it will be the same again. Once you know there was someone else .... it will work for the time being but trust issues will lurk around for a long long time esp when you think you have no reason to be cheated on other than the call of "temptations" or plain stupidity. (no offense)

An affair is never a way to end a marriage. This can leave one emotionally scarred. It may hurt to hear that the one you love wants to leave you but it hurts even more for the one you love to leave you by having an affair on you. The best thing to do when the love is express your feelings and let the relationship go. This gives you all of the room to mingle without the guilt of having an affair. The person you left will respect you and the person you're with will respect you as well.

Yes, depends on how serious the affair is. Some people stay married for the sake of the children. However if one of the married partners have an affair then it affects the children's lives and would not be good for the marriage. Problems in the marriage often appear in that order.

I agree, Its bad enough to have a marriage go sour but to bring another person into the situation can only cause more hurt and confusion. If your not happy and plan on leaving your spouse do so before getting involved with another person... Out with the old before starting the new. Easier for all concerned.

It is a way to end a marriage, but it's not a good one. Why bother making it worse? If you want a divorce, file the papers or at least talk to your spouse and seperate, after that extra marital sexual encounters are fair game even if the divorce is not finalized.

I agree.....and if you read the newspapers once in a while you will also realize that sometimes it ends people's lives !!! You never know how a person will react that is cheated on. When you make the decision to cheat you never know what is going to come your way as a result from cheating. It's kind of like playing Russian Roulette !!!
