Have you heard of a famous theologian/ philosopher with the name of St. Thomas Aquinas, O.P., Th.D? He postulated the 5 proofs of the existence of the supreme being (God) in his work (Summa Theologica).
This is the summary of the 5 proofs:
The Quinquae viae, or Five Ways, are five proofs of the existence of God summarized by St. Thomas Aquinas in his Summa Theologiae. These proofs take the form of philosophical arguments:
1) The argument of the unmoved mover (ex motu).
Some things are moved.
Everything that is moved is moved by a mover.
An infinite regress of movers is impossible.
Therefore, there is an unmoved mover from whom all motion proceeds.
This mover is what we call God.
2) The argument of the first cause (ex causa).
Some things are caused.
Everything that is caused is caused by something else.
An infinite regress of causation is impossible.
Therefore, there must be an uncaused cause of all caused things.
This causer is what we call God.
3) The argument of contingency (ex contingentia).
Many things in the universe may either exist or not exist. Such things are called contingent beings.
It is impossible for everything in the universe to be contingent, as nothing can come of nothing, and if traced back eventually there must have been one thing from which all others have occurred.
Therefore, there must be a necessary being whose existence is not contingent on any other being(s).
This being is what we call God.
4) The argument of degree (ex gradu).
Various perfections may be found in varying degrees throughout the universe.
These degrees of perfections assume the existence of the perfections themselves.
5) The argument of design (ex fine).
All designed things have a designer.
The universe is designed.
Therefore, the universe has a designer.
This designer is what we call God.

I totally agree with Meera Patel. Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism know the truth: God is the Divine Essence. If people understood Christianity correctly, they would see that orthodox Christianity has taken metaphors for the same idea (Jesus as "Alpha and Omega" and "fully divine and fully human") and erroneously credited them with historical, material truth. That Divine Essence is what it's really all about. God is simply the sum total of everything that exists or ever has existed or ever will exist or ever potentially could exist in either the material world or the world of thoughts. There is nothing that stands outside of God. Some of us call him "The Tao".

Absolutely nothing comes from absolutely nothing. Some Thing always was. This is "God," whether intelligent Mind and divine Love, or merely well-structured Matter. The latter is a bit less likely, as science finds matter to be impermanent.
The notion that God is Energy is correct.
Plotinus' notion that One Mind Soul is Life, and that erring from this Energy is veiling, energy-veilling, e-veiling, eviling, explains how God is Omnipresent, and veiled by mis-taking, wrong choice--"God was in this place, and I knew it not."
Several modern authors who explain insights about God are worthwhile: "Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet; "Men in White Apparel," Ann Ree Colton; "Light Is a Living Spirit," O. M. Aivanhov; "Autobiography of a Yogi," Yogananda, http://www.yogananda-srf.org
Key resonance of soulfield with divine Love, is One Mind Soul-individuation of which Plotinus wrote. Human mentation tends to fantasize about God, whether denying God as to avoid personal accountability, or promoting God as a cosmic bellhop.

If you actually care, you shouldn't be online looking for rationalization or justification.
The idea of a god is not a rational thing. So that idea cannot be rationalized. If all you trust in is reason, then you won't believe in God. If you believe, like many do, that faith is something beyond reason, then you will probably believe in God. If you DO believe that, do some research and look for a church that suits you.

There was a guy who came to my school that had a past. He had run away from home at 15, and got in trouble with the law, but never got sent to jail.
He did raids on weed (the drug) farms, got into fights, beat up police and nameless other things.
He got conviceted of assalt and sent to jail for 20 years. When he got there, his first thoughts were to kill himself. He threw himself against the wall and was at the climax of his depression.
He had a wild thought. He called up his Mum to bring him a book.
When he got this book, aka The Bible, he opened it up. But he didn't know how to read The Bible, and just flipped to the back. 3 Steps to Salvation.
1. Admit that you have sinned.
2. Give your life to God.
3. Share it with others.
His testimonial also left this vivid memory. "I've tried every drug there is and nothing gave me the feeling of when I accepted Jesus Christ there in that Prison Cell."

I don't know...... is all that crap that the earth had to go through just to be suitable for life a mere coincidence? I mean sure, there is at least one possibility of that happening, but we are a sophisticated race(the reason i can answer this question) we are not simple organizms. It took the shark millions of years in order to adapt to perfect hunting capabilities, but us? about 3,000 years and we are the DOMINANT species of this world. I don't know, you tell me if there is God or not.

Yes, god is the transcendent energy in which all comes from...without it nothing exists. There must be one energy that has always been....there cannot be one beginning to existence...even science says energy cannot be created. Hindu philosophy defines god as the unchanging, infinite, immanent, and transcendent reality which is the Divine Ground of all matter, energy, time, space, being, and everything beyond in this universe

Supposedly, God exist, and he is all-good and omnipotent.
But if he's all-good, would it lead to reason he would use his power to stop evil from befalling mankind. Throughout the world, evil does exist, and thousands of people suffer because of it. Which lead to reason, God is not as all-good as we were misled to believe.
Or perhaps, he is all-good, but just doesn't have the power to stop evil. This would lead to reason, he's not as omnipotent as we were misled to believe.
Or possibly, the existence of evil throughout the world, is proof in itself that God doesn't exist.
