I live here, and everyone seems to either hate it, or not know where it is. I have been to many places around the world, and I don't understand why people hate Idaho so much. The city I live in is very clean, modern, and has all of the stores and job opportunities that other even larger cities have. Plus, the Tetons and Yellowstone National Park are basically in my backyard. True, there are a lot of Mormons here, but they are nice, friendly, clean living people. The crime is low.
So, why do people hate it so much?
Sorry about the rant and long question details.

Hello,
Yes we are basically neighbors (Oregon here).
I like some parts, the cities I do not care for. I do like the outback.
I did not realize it was a Mormon state though? You are talking about Idaho and not Utah right?
Some of the laws there are rather funky but they are here too. Some areas in Idaho are very cheap right now for jobs are not around.
Anyhoo all in all not a bad state to visit.

Nope, in no way been to Idaho yet my mothers and dads have been there final summer season they mentioned it grow to be effective. Idaho is my 2nd selection for my honeymoon (1st is Prague) lol i admire the mountains, and there is rafting, fishing, i could opt to pass to northern Idaho it may be cool. I additionally informed myself that if I ever had a band i could call it 'Idaho and the pimps' using fact I actual have this thought that each band that has a place as their call, or of their call sucks, and that i think of that if I had a band it may suck to boot.

The whole state is so clean it squeaks. I loved living in Boise. You can raft right through the city, and you can rent rafts, canoes and kayaks. The city even hires people to patrol the river in kayaks to look for people in distress. Payette Lake is an amazing place as is McCall. You can ski at Bogus Basin which is right in or slightly out of Boise. If you love the outdoors, Idaho is your kind of place.

I've been through both southern and far northern parts of Idaho, northernmost part being my favorite. I love it there, I'm planning to move to either Idaho or Montana after I graduate college. The Northwest is where I'd like to be.

I spent about a week there. I was at the Bruneau Dunes, Lake Wolcott, and Nez Pierce. My friends and I were stuck overnight on a mountain in Nez Pierce, but it was my favorite place in Idaho. The dunes had a ton of horseflies, and it was so hot at the lake that I became ill.

I've never been to Idaho, so I won't say anything against it.
That's like when people say Texas is plain, dull, and boring. You know cowboy-ish? Well that is NOT TRUE! It's like the opposite of that!

I'm in Ohio... I have no room to talk about anyone else's state :)
I've never been there, but I'd love to see Yellowstone.

I was in Lewiston for about three months, right by the bridge that goes to Clarkston, Washington. And I didn't hate it, I thought it was ok.
