Anil Kumble played beautifully in Australia. He took 5 wickets in first innings and even though he is a bowler, he outplayed several top order batsmen in second innings and was the 3rd highest scorer out of all batsmen.

I think he has shown best display of performance from India's side. is that right?

I think you are spot on. He has lead from the front and shown why he was chosen as captain of the test side. He troubled the Australian batsmen right from the start, and once again showed the resolve with the bat that we have come to expect from Jumbo over the years.

He needs support, or else he is going to end up like Flintoff did last summer against the Aussies - losing form trying to carry the team.

Even in batting he was better. There can be no dispute.
Hope the first timers get their eye in soon.At least one of the openers should be positive.Dravid with his experience should shed the overcautious approach and be an inspiration to Wasim.Though the Aussies were bowling a constant off side line, they should at least try to get a few singles initially.

Yes he deserves a great round of applause for his great bowling performance yesterday..too bad he has no back up from the rest of the team...very poor batting today...but Anil definatly has my vote at the moment for man of the match..against Matt Hayden of cause....

I fully agree with you. He has led from the front, but others failed to follow his spirit and determination.
