Yes, some classical and some from my mother's adolescence. We had a couple of her old records around when I was young, and I learned to like Frank Sinatra and Mario Lanza and Bing Crosby.

P.S. Oh, yes; and jazz from an earlier age courtesy of my older boyfriend. Also movie music from watching old movies on TV.

Well I adore Classical, so I listen to music that was composed /centuries/ before I was born.

Most of the Gothic Rock I enjoy is from the 80s.

My favourite band found fame in the 80s [Guns N' Roses].

Many of my favourite Heavy Metal bands formed in the 60s or 70s or the 80s

I love Blues and that spans over many decades from the 20s to the late 80s.

[I grew up in the 90s]

I grew up in the 60's - you can tell by my name - lol.
I always listen to a 70's rock station. I love 70's and 80's music.
I couldn't tell you any songs from today. I hate rap.
But I also love Louis Armstrong. The Decca Years is fantastic.
But music from any decade that touches me in some way, is good for my soul.
I watch American Idol and Canadian Idol. So I do know some of the artists from those shows. And that introduces me to many new artists and song styles.
I recently bought Hedley cuz of that, and I liked most of it.
Have a safe and Happy New Year

Yes....although I do enjoy some music from the late 1980's (I was born in 1977), I find that a lot of the music I like was popular before I was born. I do like a lot of Seventies music in particular....and some from the Fifties and Sixties as well. I am also a classical music lover.

I enjoy a very wide range of music. As an 18 year old musician, I don't mind listening to music for any decade, from Beethoven and the classical era to today's music.

Good music is timeless.

I grew up on Classical music. It's soothing and peaceful. There is also Gospel, Baroque, rhythm and blues, soft jazz, so many kinds. Music that is nature sounds are awesome. I just love music, that's all there is to it. I was born in 1941. A lot of the records {that I played on a crank up Victrola} was one sided records.
I forgot to mention Celtic music. Beautiful and I'm not Irish.

Yes, I like them much better than all the crappy music that is being played today. I was born in 84, but I adore classic rock of the 60s and 70s (especially Led Zeppelin!) as well as 80s rock bands like ACDC (I like their 70s stuff too) and Guns N' Roses. In my opinion, there hasn't been a great rock group since Nirvana and I hate all the hip-hop, rap, country and teen pop music that has been taking over lately. But that's just me.
