I have always been a little ambivalent about New Year since my father died over thirty years ago. he did not die at new year but in many ways he loved it so much that I miss him on that day.Strangely he did not do a lot on 31st Dec 1st Jan he just loved it. My wife and I usually go to a concert on New Years Eve described as Classic Pops at the Royal Philharmonic hall in Liverpool the first time we went we thought it was," pop man pop y'know like pops" After our initial disappointment we found that we enjoyed it so much we go every year and also another couple of concerts during the year. So that is one good thing. and the second is that I am going to see my son and grandaughters in Bucks on 2nd Jan. We have booked out holidays for next year. So God willing I have a lot to look forward to. May you have a very happy 2008 and your wounds heal

This very much depends on how one would describe good -v- bad. I am currently awaiting major surgery (bad??) but that should then relieve some of the pain I am currently suffering - therefore a good thing???

This will be my first year of full retirement for us.
