oh yeah...Ducati doesn't make MX bikes, so that rules them out.

Not sure where you live. Do you have a Husqvarna dealer near you? The 125 CR is big in world enduro but I can honestly say I have never seen one at the MX track. I would never buy anything unless I had a local shop for parts and support. Kawasaki doesn't make the KX 125 anymore, so I assume you are looking at used bikes. Honestly dude if you want a good competitive bike those would probably be the last 2 on my list. I also agree with the answer above that suggested KTM if you like Euro bikes. THe KTM 144 would be an awesome bike, and it's legal in the lites class.

For these bikes - consider the wear and tear. By this I mean who locally to you has spare parts that you do not have to wait 3 weeks for from the vendor?

Locally I can get Kawasaki parts easy, I have a Kaw 1500 Vulcan and the local shop sells the dirt bikes.
Husqvarna parts around here are order only.

Of all the dirt bikes I owned, my "husky" gave me the most trouble consistently. When it ran, it was FAST!! but it didn't run great very often. Repairs were more expensive for it too. The Kawasaki is a better bike between the two, but for pure dirt riding, I always preferred a Yamaha. It had more low end torque, bikes like the Honda didn't start to develop torque until you got up "on the pipe" (higher rpms) and The Kawasaki seemed to run out of torque on the top end.

if you're getting a 125 your probably rideing tight track or jumping haha you cant jump a ducatti but if ur bent on european bikes get a ktm (i would personally get a yz. Oh yeah if you're not in it for jumping or tight tracks i would go bigger than a 125 they tend to get boring really fast out in the open
