I had about the same experience - a builder hired me when I was a teen to clean the construction debris off his lots when the houses were done and then we raked the dirt to prepare for sod after the final grading was done.

After I left grade school I went back and was a gym attendant for like a month. It was the first job I got paid for and I quit because I couldn't keep up with scoring the basketball games.

I worked at Winchell's Donuts. At the counter as well as dipping the donuts in toppings, and injecting the jellies. Also had to steam clean the trays. Fun job with the extra benefit of being able to eat all we wanted. I never got sick of them so lucky me I was always so active I never gained weight.
Now I want a donut!

My first job, (other than mowing neighbors grass) was when I got my first modeling contract, I hated it! Sadly, I still model (print) every now and then for extra cash when I need it.
I would rather JUST mow peoples yards and stuff like that, for an extra source of income but winter time is tough, especially when there is no snow!

my first real job was at the first shoe store of the company i work for. it was real nice because it didnt feel like work. I swear and I was never tired.
but the first one which I only worked at for one day a week was at a dry cleaners as the guy who had to put tickets on customers clothes(so when they got dried we knew what belonged to who) and to hang them on the conveyer belt
