I'm 15, and I recently got my period. I think it might be lasting longer then it should be. Could something be wrong? It's already been 7 days...

My first ones lasted 10 days, and I spotted for ages after. Your periods are very irregular when they first start...too long, too short, too frequent, too infrequent....

If it starts to make you very tired or anemic, see a doctor. If they haven't settle down within a year of your first period, definitely get a check up.

Periods can last anywhere up to 7 days for most, but I believe that some even last a few days longer. Everyone is different. Every period is different (some of mine are 2 days long, some as long as 6 days). Give it another day or two, then call your doctor, but my guess is, you're probably fine.

Some women have longer pepriods than others...it might be that way for you, but it might not. When you first start getting periods, the cycles tend to be a bit unpredictable.

If you are still concerned, you can always called a Planned Parenthood...they are usually very nice and happy to answer that kind of question.

Most likely what you are experience is normal...no need for panic!

if you recently got your period, your body still has to get used to it. it varies from time to time. it's perfectly normal. however, if it lasts much longer, go see a doctor.
