I can see several of my neighbors. If you have the router at the center of the house, it can reach every corner of your house. Someone in a car outside of your house may also connect to your wireless network, if you do not have encryption.
When you sign up for DSL or fiber optic service, you will get a modem with router functions free.

Its not like a measuring tape it doesnt have an exact distance. And it depends on the router. But you would do fine with a linksys for about 50 - 75 feet with decent connection. The connectivity is more like a Limit equation that drops down but never goes to zero (although ur computer might not realize it).
But im getting carried away, 50 feet is a safe bet

A router can only go for approximately 50 to 150 feet radius of the router. If you go further than that you will not get a clear WIF Signal.

If your talking about a wireless router then it all depends on because they catergorized like G, N something like that if im not mistaking the routers that have the N is the one that can give you the furthest distance. now the distance how far they get i dont really know but it all depends if the signal has to go through walls or not and the material they are and if they are solid or hollow. the cost all depends on the brand and if its based for gaming or just regular internet use.

depends on the router.
but they go pretty far, like in an average house you can place the router in the most central location possible and you should definately be fine for every location in your house
but most routers go for something like 100 feet radius without problem

i dont get what your saying! But the best routers around are linksys. Do you want wired or wireless routers?
Wired: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124001
Wireless: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124010
But there are other kinds of routers. Some that are faster then others and some with different ports! So i dont know what you want! Here is a list of all linksys routers! Goodluck!

If you are talking about wireless, several hundred feet. If you are talking about wired, I don't know. Probably long as your wire.
