i think that parents are generally always more wise than their offspring. A teenager's wisdom for the most part is simply drawn from his parents. Ideals and expectations are passed down from parent to child, not the other way around.
Bottom line, anyone who does something to "spite" his or her parents (which ALL teenagers do) can not be dubbed wiser than them. Wisdom comes from experience which can not be gained while living under the roof of the person who bore you into the world.

Wiser No. I'm 19 years old and from time to time i may think I'm wiser and sometimes even smarter but they're more expreienced and have gone through so much trials in their lifetime than i ever have. My brain is still young and learning so I might think I'm smarter but you have to remember they've been out of school for quite some time...

These kind of questions aren't useful at all... which teenagers, which parents, wiser in what way... etc...
You'll really have to narrow the question down substancially to answer it in any relative way. If you're talking about middle-class second-generation Chinese-Canadians having more economic, political & cultural awareness than their parents, you can answer that question with statistics and facts. If you're just throwing out 'parents' 'children' and 'wisdom' with no definition of the terms, any argument you make can be torn to shreds in seconds.
My advice is to focus on a specific segment of the population of a specific area (ie. middle-class girls in Toronto, wiser than their mothers? working-class boys in Atlanta wiser than their fathers? etc.), and specify in what AREA they are wiser (such as technology, finance, global awareness, common sense, etc.).
Good luck!

They may be smarter because of more classes but wiser? Not chance. Only life experience gets you wiser. Also It is scientificly proven that our brains do not develope enough to make good decisions until we are in our early to mid twenties so wiser? No way

Wiser? With the increase of 19% of teen pregnancies and the rise of STDs I say no in this department. Even in Europe the rise of syphilis is at an all time high.

Well they like to think they are, but
no, not yet they aren't.
Don't get me wrong I love kids but I myself believe they should be put in cold storage from 13 to 24. That's the age of they know it all. At 25 they begin to see just how smart their parents are.
Us parents go to bed nightly saying to our self " I might have been born at night, but it wasn't last night." Oh yes! we utter things behind the backs of children.
Good Luck!
