Gregory Peck... one of the greatest American actors... all throughout his career. I love that he did the cameo in the remake of Cape Fear... that was so cool... and so did Robert Mitchum.

Tough call
I going with Holden, only because Gregory Peck seemed to be a little full of himself to me, and William Holden seemed like more of a regular guy to me.
Love 'em both though.
