I had some high hopes for the Saints, but I guess I was wrong.

The Saints

Though the Chiefs weren't expected to do much this year, I always try to have high hopes for them going into a season. After a 4-3 start I started to think maybe they might be ok, then came the 8 game losing streak, what a debacle. The offense is utterly pathetic. I feel sorry for guys like Tony Gonzalez who have suffered for years on a mediocre to bad team.

The Denver Broncos were a huge disappointment this year. Most of the panelists and experts had them winning the division, and I expected no less of them. Injuries plagued their offensive line, running backs, and Javon Walker, their number one wideout. Especially to lose some of the games the way they did, 41-3 and 23-3 against division rival San Diego, 34-20 against a struggling Oakland team, the 44-7 thumping at the paws of the Detroit Lions, the unexcusable 37-34 loss against the Bears thanks to poor special teams strategy, and the heartbreaking and anticlimactic 19-13 overtime loss to Favre and your high-flying Packers.

Well, I'm in NC, so I gotta say the Panthers were a real downer this year...When Delhomme went down, so did the season in flames...

But I also was hoping the Lions had turned around and finally put together a winner for the first time since Barry...They completely collapsed in the second half of the season...Matt Millen needs to go...

My Miami Dolphins by far. I truly thought I had seen signs of improvement the last couple of seasons. I thought they would even be slightly better this year, but whoa, what happened? I certainly didn't expect a season anywhere near as bad as this 1-14 one they are having. Holy!

Without a doubt the Baltimore Ravens. They went 13-3 last year and this year they're 4-11 so far, not to mention that they lost to the Dolphins.

I am a Seahawk fan, and I won't say I am dissapointed, but I really expected alot more competition from the Cardinals, 49ers, and Rams. The injury bug hit the 49ers and Rams pretty hard, and the Cards are too inconsistent this year. I like good competition, it makes beating them so much sweeter, but that's okay, winning is great!

the patriots

ever since 2001 they have been billed as (and acted like) the class act of football, the mecca of good sportsmanship and sports role models. now their coach has went from cold and businesslike to petty and childish, they have steroids suspensions, they got caught cheating after being specifically warned about that type of cheating before the season (its like they were flipping the bird to the whole league), they seem to have run up the score on teams when they could have kneeled on the ball 3 times and ran out the clock, their golden boy qb is a deadbeat dad, and their fans have become the most arrogant, obnoxious bunch in the nation. what a disgrace the "face" of the league has become!
