I found out in my twenties that I really didn't know it all like I thought I did. It was hard to get over being the adviser of everything. CHILL there are more than one way to do things, even though it's not the right way in our eyes. When you learn to listen to people you find out more about how the think and process information when they are talking to you...I found that fascinating...I thought everyone thought as logical as I did.
Instead of giving the answer ask it in a question "What do you think your best choice in that situation would be?" Listen, and respond. Compliment them on there thought or efforts, and add "Do you think it might help if........(your two cents here), and be accepting of rejected advise. Bless them or wish them luck.
Everything is not black and white....there are gray areas in between!
It's okay to be right, we just don't have to be pushy or arrogant about it. Sometimes demonstrating good listening skills is more helpful than giving them all the answers...life is a learning experience for all of us...even us know it alls..lol

You know, I have the same problem. I think I'm always right and a good 50% of the time, I am WRONG! Maybe more than that. And I'm a woman, not a man, so who knows? I was born a Taurus and definitely have a strong stubborn streak. I am 54 years old and am so much better than I was as a kid. But you try telling my husband that. And you know what?? He is usually (not always, but usually) right. It used to be so hard fot me to tell him he was right, but now I just argue for awhile then tell him he's right. I am more aware of it (as a problem) so now I don't argue as much as I used to. Yea, it is a bad quality--in a man or a woman.

It may be true that you are right many times, and that you know a lot of things. But consider this.
When a frog has lived only in a pond, and that’s the only thing he’s seen in his whole life, he thinks and is convinced that he knows everything. But we all know that the frog’s knowledge is limited, and is only living in his own little world.
Have you ever considered that you’re only living in a box, and are convinced that you know everything? To think that one knows everything is a symptom of having pride – which is the opposite of having wisdom. It’s a known proverb that the more wise a person is the more he knows that he knows so little.
I’m not trying to put you down – only attempting to help you see. Best wishes.

Needing to be right is an addiction. Give up the need to be right or to win - life becomes more peaceful.

Usually you ask this after she has left for good because you dont listen to her and even if she just babbles, is fatal to any relation with another. There is nothing like being with someone who doesnt even acknowledge you.
