Everything old is new again.

This was the premise of an old series. However, I think none of the episodes ever showed the recipient sharing with established charities.

Now to answer your question- I guess I'd feel a lot more like helping, if I had that much money. I like the usual suspects- Salvation Army, St Vincent's and local soup kitchens. I might also skip the large organizations and find a worthy person to help, individually.

Friends, family, relatives? Oh, I guess we'd all have a good Christmas, but nothing huge.

The "how much" is hard to say. Certainly not half, maybe a lot less.

PROVE TO ME that these charities are legitimate--there have been millions collected for starving Africans--did you see the commercials?? Where is the food and who is getting it?? Why are they still as bad off as they were 50 years ago?? What charities are NOT keeping a percentage of the donations.?? The law says they HAVE to give 15 percent of every dollar--do you realize that is 15 cents out of each donated dollar--WHO gets the 85 cents.??? The local burn center PAYS a doctor 600,000 a year to ADMINISTER to the fund collecting--that's 600,000 of donated dollars to a doctor who does nothing but write letters---then after that the burn center gets the money left over. Charities are for bleeding hearts and saps who believe the crap that is dished out. I worry about myself.

35% of it and i will only donate to charity organisation that has transparent financial reporting so that the money only goes out to help to poor and needy. There were many cases where the so called volunteers in charity organisation misuse public donation for own cause.

Personally I really don't know , that's a hard question to answer honestly . I will just say 30 percent probably to the Wilderness Society since I donate there already - every little bit helps .

I hate to say this, but probably none of it. 1 million dollars isn't a lot of money now a days (considering how much a house costs and everything else). I would want to save it so I can give my kids a college education someday and take care of my family and parents.
Now if I got 5 million or more, that would be a different story.

Well beings as I have 6 grown children with children, I'd only be able to donate 10 thousand, because I really have to help My Family first. But I still would donate.

I am not that benevolent. Charity begins at home. Now if it were 10 million I may give it some consideration.

About 20%

But I would donate it to a really small charity who does great things.

It would make more of a difference that way
