• If you gathered together all the gold ever mined it would weight approximately 153,000 tonnes.

• Because gold is so dense, those 153,000 tonnes could be contained in a cube with 20-metre (65ft) sides.

• In the 1800s a sewer worker tunnelled into the vaults of the Bank of England by mistake. Instead of taking a bar and making a hasty exit, he informed the appropriate authorities and was given an £800 reward - the equivalent of about £36,000 in today's money.

12 mins and not even one person admitting to owning a gold ring. Gold is currently very expensive though.

I've got about 5 ounces of gold, but its only 9ct. my watch is worth more (rolex), its insured for £5000 on its own insurance policy. have you got a watch?
