Im a HUGE isles fan, but they need to change their game. they are an exciting team to watch because you never know with them, but how can a team slip from 1 to 15 in a few months? i was watching the game today, against the maple leafs and they won 10 seconds before shoutouts. another time, they could lose 0-8. i dont even know what to say about them anymore. any comments on strategies? what do you think is wrong with them? please comment!!!

The Islanders lost over 150 goals to free agency and didn't replace them. Their power play was doing well at the start, but has slipped to something like 27th in the league. They have only scored 4 or more goals in a game twice since the beginning of November. They score an average of 2.25 goals per game. Until they start scoring more consistently, they will lose more no matter how well their goaltending and penalty kill(6th best in league) is.

It was great to see that traitor Jason Blake cough up the puck that led to the Isles winning goal.

Maybe its cause you gave a goalie who has never won a playoff game a 15 year contract. The management of that team has been completely lost since the Mike Milbury days. Look at all the talent you traded and passed on in the drafts.
I'm a Devils fan (my brother wouldn't let me like the same team as him when we were kids) on Long Island and was at the Islander Leafs game. It was a great game, I love watching the Canadian teams cause theres always a group of them their to cheer on their boys and for the fans to harass. (Always being the visiting fan Ive come to appreciate the Islander fan brand of harassment.
I wanna comment on your fans to . . . really angry lately.

I think Mr. Wang makes some idiosyncratic decisions for his team, and he can well afford to do so. Therefore he ends up with an idiosyncratic hockey team, Since the club is more hobby than business to him, he may not necessarily run his club in a dispassionate way. There's not much point in being as rich as he is if you can't get your own way. In any case I doubt the team will be sold as long as he is alive.

Like the Leafs, they need a new owner, but unlike the Leafs, they need a new owner who knows how to run a hockey business.

The Islanders don't have any offensive firepower. They won't be able to win if they can't score goals. Until they get some guys who can actually score, the Islanders are going to have trouble winning games.
