Ok when you throw 3 tds and 7 ints it is considered choking. But when you lose on the road to the playoffs by throwing 5tds and 1 pick it is NOOOT CONSIDERED CHOKING. Anyone else think that there's a lot of brainless people on Y/A that can't post a comment with a logic to it?

Gotta remember. A lot of the announcers, to each game, will have bias, contrary to what they say. For example, Announcers for a Raiders-Broncos game, the Broncos announcers will say the raiders cheat, while the Raiders announcers will say the Broncos cheat.
If you throw 7 picks in a road game, with 3 TDs and lose on the road, I think I'd have yanked the QB. If I got 5 TDs with only 1 pick, it would depend on winning or losing.
The first I wouldn't call it a Choke, I'd call it a train wreck.
The second, I'd call the bearer of bad luck, because they were in it.

Choking is when a player performs uncharacteristically when their season is on the line. Manning normally won't throw that many interceptions during regular season but somehow in the playoffs, it's a different story for Peyton. Remember that one game when Peyton threw 4 interceptions in the playoff.

You wanna talk about choking? I think it's defined under the 2006 Ny Giants , they were 6 and 2 last year then practally died the 2nd half and almost got their coach fired. It looked like they were going to repeat that show again but some how beat the Bills last week saving the season by avoiding an elimination game vs the Pats

Choking isn't about game stats: it's about end of the game/last 5 minute stats. Take my WSU Cougars for example (tough for me to say). For a couple years earlier in the 21st century, we would be ahead of the UW Huskies, then somehow lose in the last 5 minutes...which is considering choking.

Can't we all just agree that the Mets choked and move on to the next question, since this one isn't all that clear anyway.

It isn't choking unless you lose. It could be considered poor play, but you don't choke if you don't lose; you still pull it off.

choking is not stats. Manning won the game. To choke you have to A. loose, and B loose big games multiple times.

You need to get educated on the game of football, and then come back.
