My fiance's cousin is a single dad, with a 1 and 1/2 year old son named Josh, and a 4 year old daughter named Sam. Josh is usually shy around people, but seems to be very comfortable around me.
Here I was sitting on the couch, watching the kids open their toys. once josh finished, he ran over to me and held out his arms, wanting to come up on my lap. I picked him up and he was all smiles. He looked at me and stuck his tongue out, and did raspberries, which is something I TAUGHT HIM when he was about 6 months old. It was funny because it was kinda like he was saying, "I remember".
So, here we were blowing raspberries at eachother and laughing like hell the whole time. It was just cool to see this kid have such an awesome time with me, even though his mom wasn't around for x-mas and both kids really missed her. I felt really good that I was able to make him happy that day by just being there, i guess. I don't think there's anything better than seeing kids with smiles on their faces, especially those two, who lately have been miserable with just their dad.

Stainless Steel pots and pans!!
We needed new pots and pans badly. We had been living off of the non-stick stuff for years and really needed a change and upgrade, not to mention replacements since our others, the teflon coatings were peeling away. Not a good thing when you're cooking.
We were excited when we opened three boxes full of stainless steel pots and pans, with matching lids. Now I can't wait to cook dinners!!
