One of them would be Ever After.
I'm such a sappy, hopless romantic. I just love it.

Return of the Living Dead because it makes me laugh lol
I love the scene where the zombie is coming up from the basement (he was in a canister, I think), and he moves his head back and forth almost like people do nowadays when they're getting an attitude... and then he says "braaaaiiinss".
It's a classic. I was addicted to that movie when I was a teenager. Haven't seen it for years now though.
My other favorite was "The sound of music" and "swiss family Robinson"... again, addicted in my younger years. I had every song memorized from the first and I was determined to have a house in the trees as in the second. Never did though *pout*
:D

I think "The Shining" is a masterpiece. The directing is what really takes the cake. That movie is the most scary a movie can get without having all that gore and make-up and special effects. It uses a normal real life setting, a hotel, and turns it into a completely developed monster. The cast was good too.

Ping Pong
First because ping pong is awesome, but also it's a movie about friendship. Watching this movie makes me understand the beauty of sport, and gives me a reason why I should be the best at what I'm doing. Smile is touching and Peco is funny in the way he interacts with the other characters. I'm a bit like him sometimes.

Grease...ever since I was little I've been into the 50's and so my mom bought that movie for me. I would watch it over and over. Now I know all the words to it. But because of that movie, it's how me and my best friend became friends...so not only is it a great movie, the subject of it helped create one of my longest friendships...and yes i know what i just said sounds cheesy

Empire of the Sun! This little boy beat the odds and became an everyday hero, he suffered so much yet he never became embittered. When he saw his parents again after being so long apart he started to cry. This tough boy was still just a baby inside. So sweet! It reminds me of myself. Like, we're all just struggling to go back home. The music was such a thrill too!

It is hard to pick just one. This past year my favorite was "Talk to me" with Don Chedle. If I have to pick one favorite I think it is "Menace II Society" with M.C. Eight and Larenz Tate If you ever watch it they come around full circle.Asked do you care if you die, and he answers I don't know. Then at the end finds out he wants to live. Also "St. Louis Blues" starring Nat King Cole and Eartha Kit. That is the story about W.C. Handy the father of the Blues.

There are so many! But, mayyyybe... The Shawshank Redemption (1994), because it is a message about hope. And it is quite true to the original Stephen King short story upon which it is based.
