Yes. I don't know why it wouldn't be realistic. My grandparents are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary this coming year. When one of them dies I don't think even then will they consider themselves unmarried because they have been together for so long.

Yes, because there have been are a lot of couples who have done it and do it today.

It's because they are comitted to each other, and work at resolving conflicts instead of letting them tear their marriage apart.

There are people who have been married for over 50 years because they love each other, and work at their marriage instead of giving up over stupid little things.

So YES I think that it's VERY realistic, and I took my wedding vows with my wife VERY serious, especially the till death do us part.

That is what makes marriage different than living together; the committment of going through life with one special person. Sure it is realistic. If you truly love someone, you don't want to go out looking for another.

That depends on how you look at it. Biblicaly, until death means until you depart this earth. But, it could also mean death to the marriage. I mean, if someone is being physically, mentally abusive or has just done something so extremely wrong that the marriage is so beyond repair, then I guess you can say that death would mean to the marriage itself.

To be perfectly honest, Marriage itself is unrealistic. Two people apparently trust one another but require written confirmation of their intentions because their word is not good enough.

That is what it is supposed to be all about.

Realistic? I think it depends on the individual person & what they believe in.

I know it has worked for a lot of people. And .. not even begin to work for many other people.

It should say "until we are no longer in love" then we would only be married for weeks!!! Of course those other people that lie to themselves would still be married for years LOL

Yes,,,if both partners are equally yoked and have made the committment for a lifelong union......Both partners must respect each other and love each other 'until death do you part'.........
