Not everyone is selfish. Certainly it's not a very attractive quality to find in a boyfriend. Have you tried talking about it with him, at a GOOD moment, calmly and reasonably rather than pointing the finger of blame or being sarcastic towards him? After all, he may not realise that what he is doing (or is NOT doing) bothers you and cannot relate your anger/hurt to his actions, especially if those actions are, in fact, reasonable (to everyone else but you, that is). If he persists in behaviour you cannot tolerate - or if it is the case that it is YOU who simply cannot tolerate a certain type of behaviour even though it is reasonable - then there is little point in continuing a relationship which ultimately makes you unhappy.

Men, anyway, can't live with them or without them. It is so hard to understand men (at least I have no clue) and what is going on in their mind. I think that everyone today has a selfish streak in them. I know that I am pretty set in my ways and have a hard time changing. I use old age as an excuse (can't use it with God, though).

Is your boyfriend selfish? Lot of people are but not everyone. I know there are an awful lot of people who just care about themselves with no regard for anyone else. But you do hear a lot of wonderful stories about people who have a genuine concern for their neighbor's welfare.

You have to have just a little of that to survive. Like I saved a picture of someone opening a gift at midnight. I go back to it every once in a while to laugh.

Every since God gave up His Old Testament wrath and quit turning women into pillars of salt or doing sinners flambeau, people quit behaving.
Believe me, if your boyfriend knew he could spontaneously burst into flame for his sins, he'd behave better!
