The best way to experience Philippine culture are tours to festivals and fiestas. The fiesta is part and parcel of Filipino culture. Through good times and bad times, the fiesta must go on. Each city and barrio has at least one local festival of its own, usually on the feast of its patron saint, so that there is always a fiesta going on somewhere in the country.

Yes but it is best you arranged it with your travel agency there or when you arrived her, check with the hotel so you get a guided and exclusive tour - you need to go to Vigan to see the historical landmarks around 3 days including transportation back and forth. Baguio-Benguet Area to see the Rice Terraces and the caves another 3 days. you can visit Olongapo City to look at Subic Bay, tour to Mt. Pinatubo which caused vast devastation to many provinces, experienced Aeta life. These places I have gone and I would like to go back another time.

If you are looking for a cultural tour look for this guy. His name is Mr. Carlos Celdran. Here's his weblog: http://celdrantours.blogspot.com/. He also has a account here. He is in my contact list. His tours take place in the "Cultural Center of the Philippines", and Intramuros in Manila. Look at his blog for more.

There are many cultural sites like the "Ifugao rice Terraces" in northern Luzon, "Chocolate hills" in the island of Bohol and many others. I hope this could help.
