I've been a chronic masturbater since I was old enough. I tried it in the presence of others several times but they find my behavior objectionable. Besides, it's better and I can go slower when I'm alone.

okay, here's the deal. I am alone, and very likely to remain that way.
I suffer from mental illness that skews my thinking, moods and leaves me extremely emotionally vulnerable.
there are not very many people in the world who could deal with that, even if they wanted to.
so, I can't say I'm better off alone, but maybe it's better for everone else that no one is with me.

If you would be better of alone depends on who you are with. There is nothing worse than a bad marriage. You are better off alone. But there is nothing better than a good marriage.
