don't flush just bury him
it'll provide nutrients for the soil
if you bury him make the hole
kinda deep cuz the rain may
wash away the soil.....
or another option is....
throw him into the river...
you could help a lot of fish living
in there...

DON'T FLUSH! Yes it may be tradition but first the fish needs to processed in waste plants and stuff and don't go directly to the action as you think they do. They will probably be grinded up into small chunks and go through all these terrible things you don't want to imagine. So if you really cared for you fish bury it or throw it in the bin which eventually goes to landfill to bury.

It is best for you to do what you think is best. Some people think flushing is ok and others think it is too casual. Some people think it is more respectful to the fish to bury it, others don't. The most important thing is for you to have that spiritual connection with the fish's short life and handle it as you feel is most respectful.

In the sentimental sense, I'd say flushing is the way to go. I've always flushed my fish. I always figured they'd want to be 'buried at sea' :)

Definitely don't flush it, seeing as it's illegal... If it has any virus, it can easily be transmitted into the water, which is eventually dumped into oceans, rivers, or lakes (after purification of course). Essentially, you would be dumping diseases into the wild, in areas where they would not normally be found. Putting it in a river or other body of water would be equally as bad. That is a DIRECT dumping of disease... Either bury it, freeze it, incinerate it, or put it in a plastic bag and simply toss it in the trash... If you were attached to this fish, a backyard burial would be most suitable in my opinion...

I always gave my fish a burial at sea (aka flushed it), but I said a prayer so I thought it was alright.
