I changed my motherboard, and every thing is working Ok. Except for this

Since it sounds like you changed the m0b0 yourself, I am assuming you tried the simple things such as holding the off button and unplugging the machine from the wall. Check the connection between the switch and where it connects on the m0b0. Make sure your power connections are hooked up the way your m0b0 manual says (there is usually a diagram included). 90% of the time it is a connection problem. You can also try looking under Power in Control Panel, there is a setting in there asking what you want to happen when you press the pwoer button. Hope this helps...

IF you can press the "start" button then "shut down" button then you wait. If you can't do that then hold the turn off button for 10 seconds but that will mess up your comp. a bit so got to a comp store and get it fixed.

You're not supposed to do this, but I just pull the electrical plug when this happens to me. It just takes longer to boot up when I restart it.

do it from the command line


start, run, shutdown -s -f -t 00


imediate shutdown..... for restart use a -r instead of -s

-t time til shutdown max 15 min
-f force
