I have met many Filipinos almost everywhere I have traveled in the US. I am an "honorary Filipino" (I have an adopted daughter from Batangas) and never have to look very far to find Filipino friends. There are many in the Washington, DC, area, New York, and just about everywhere else I can think of! Good luck.
