I think somewhere in the system unit from you plug stuff into the ?motherboard? how do I know where it goes..lost the manual. It is a dell computer not sure if you need model number or where to find this info) and the printer is hp photosmart c3100

re these cpu usb ports labeled..is it on the system unit or the back of the screen and where if it i on the tall unit thingie

Hi. Usually they have a USB cable that just plugs into your USB port. Load the CD first.

Hi, i am also using a HP printer. c5100.
there should be a wire plug into the printer, and the other ends plug into the cpu usb port.
