i was born in 1991 and im so used to being constantly treated like a child that i feel like everyone around me is trying to stunt my growth somehow. When i meet an adult everything is fine until they find out i was born in the 90's and that somehow freaks them out. im worried that to grown-ups people born in the 90's will always be kids.

I'm 31 and when I meet someone who was born in the 90's it makes me feel so old, because I remember being a teenager in the 90's. But I don't treat them like children. Some people are just that way. They treat everyone younger than them like kids.

edit: You are 16, so technically you are still a kid. :)

Nope, I have a step daughter your age, I am only 12 years older than her. I don't treat her like a kid, I am trying to help her become an adult. She does some pretty childish things you'd think at times she was 10. She doesn't cook, she loses her house keys all the time. She thinks she is 30, and when she gets scared she turns 8. But I always treat her like she is her age.

I was born in 1985, so people born in the 90s make me feel old. :) I think that the older you get, the less people will treat you that way, especially after you turn 18 and go out on your own.

You're either 15 or 16 now; of course they will treat you like a kid. They'll get over it once you turn 18, trust me. I was born in 1989 so until one month ago I was still a kid. :P Don't worry about it. Everyone goes through that. :)

well your 16...what do you expect? i was born in 90. im 17. and ive been gradually noticing that people are just now not treating me like a kid...yes my mom does sometimes, but it is very understandable and i respect that. i remember this one time, i was talking with some girls who were like 21 and we were making jokes and having fun and once they found out i was like 15, they frowned and walked away. no joke. it hurt my feelings. but whatever. thats their prob, not mine. you'll be growing out of that thing soon.

oh and by the way....i wish i could stay young forever!

I'm sure you will come out of that phase when you are 18 or 21. I used to think that way when I was your age.
