it depends, i guess, on where you live. The world has ended several times for specific societies and cultures that have lived on this planet, and for the most part, it is quite probable that we are the remants of the survivors of the last world ending.

I don't think the planet so much will end, as will the society that exists on the planet at any given epochal time

We just have to hang on, and pretend that everything will eventually turn out better, than the way it is going now!
