He is in sync with the other candidates in terms of positions on the issues but one really has to stand back and admire his hair as there is very little else that is admirable about him.

It's a play on his thousand dollar haircuts. Breck is a shampoo, and years ago, the women in the Breck commercials were called Breck Girls. And their hair was always fabulous!

Because in the '50s and '60s, Breck Shampoo was a very popular brand and they had a model called the "Breck Girl" on the bottle who was chosen for her beautiful, shiny, flowing hair.... supposedly, the epitome of beautiful hair. He calls John Edwards the Breck Girl because he has a nice head of hair, but he's also saying that, basically, that's all there is, (i.e, with an empty head). Fat, bald, unattractive and intolerant Rush is pretty jealous, if you ask me....
