OK, apparently your assignment is from the movie and not the book. Well, that's too bad. But anyway ... check out the film and watch it at home. As you're watching it, think of the question you need to answer. Look for blatant episodes of prejudice. The handy thing is, you can stop the film when you want to take a note. As you begin to go through the film, you will hopefully see what a powerful message it has.

Something else to consider -- WHEN this book was written. Look at it from the perspective of people THEN, not now! Does that change your view?

Good luck and try doing it this way rather than copying it off someone else!

Think about how the townspeople treated that guy who stayed in his room all the time--you know the one you don't see till the end? Didn't people treat him as a spook or almost as haunting the town?

Did the father treat people fairly despite their ethnicity in a way that others in the town did not, because of their prejudices?

People are afraid of Boo Radley because he never comes out of his house.

Although Atticus demonstrates in open court that Tom Robinson couldn't have committed the crime he's charged with, Tom is convicted anyway, because he's black and the victim is white.

To kill a mockingbird is a very powerful message.
For example, when the jury convicted Tom, it was because he was black and they were prejudice which led to injustice. People often feared wat they dont understand. For example, Tom Robinson excaped from jailed because he didnt unerstand wat was going to happen. :D hope this helps.
