I'm very shy and introverted, but a friend of mine said I have quiet confidence. What is meant by that? How can you tell if someone has quiet confidence?

I generally equate quiet confidence with 'presence'. You walk into a room and people notice you. You don't have to speak or do anything obvious, but people recognize you. Quiet confidence has the same effect. You might not say much, but you have an aura about you that people notice. When I think of someone with a quiet confidence, I think of a trustworthy person who doesn't say much, but says the right thing at the right time, without hesitation.

It would mean that it is not loud but neither exists. Someone who boasts is not a loud confidence. It could be a lack of confidence. See site below to see how confident you are.

There is nothing wrong with being shy and introverted which is the case with many geniuses like Albert Einstein. Having to ask means you can get more confident. How high is your self-esteem? It is the same thing.

It sometimes means you have the rare ability to handle things without being boastful about it, or drawing attention to the things you do. You can be shy and still have a quiet confidence about yourself.

I think it means that -regardless of weather your outgoing or shy - it's a knowing you have inside that lets you feel in control, - confident. Also you don't feel the need to "toot your own horn " about it.

It means that you are confident enough to not have to advertise your confidence like some people do.
