Are the members of the band Korn worshippers of the devil? I'm trying to convince my mother that I can listen to them in the house...

LOL.

No, they don't worship the devil. That is just a rumor started by people who don't care for their music.

Tell your Mother I have two teen-age boys. The oldest is an honor student. He is the student body president of his school (middle school...8th grade) he is taking college level AP courses already and excelling. He is active in his church youth group and is already a life scout in the Boy scouts Of America. He volunteers at the humane society and a local nursing home. He has never given me a lick of trouble and wants to be a pastor when he grows up.

He is also a huge fan of Korn.

Kids don't 'go bad' because of music, They 'go bad' because of poor parenting. If your Mother has raised you correctly, it will never matter what music you enjoy....you will still be a good, decent person

Good luck, dear. Hope she calms down and listens to reason.

No, They don't I just don't like them anymore there first album was the best and now I can hardly stand most of there songs there are drug and sex references but really that isn't bad because unless you know there little meanings you won't get it and there not saying much worse then what is in mainstream rap and country and not getting censored. I feel your pain on this one I fought with my parents on the same subject same band eventually It backfired on them I stayed in my room with the door shut and listened to it on headphones and stopped spending time at home. Keep in mind all thought your parents rules seem unfair they do want whats best for you try to keep your cool and respect them and their wishes and with some luck they will hopefully see that you are old enough to decide what you want to listen to plus at a certain age 13-15 Korn really strikes a chord with you. Its that feel the rage thats inside me and finally someone under stands how angry I am. I wish you luck.

try and convince your mother that she should not be buying anything with a pyramid on it...that's what you should be paying attention to...and listen to KORN all you want. Who cares what the religious people think? They thought Galileo was a Devil-worshiper.... so...stop listening to KORN and go read a book!

I haven't heard anything about Korn worshipping the devil. I think you should be good to listen to them.

What?! No, little girl none do. Your mother needs to listen to the music and read the lyrics to the songs because they speak out against bad things and are for acceptance of one another. And I am no Korn fan, but I grew up hearing them when they were still doing demo CD's.

Yes they do and the band name of AC/DC really means ANTI CHRIST DEVIL CHILD......NOT! why does everyone like to stereo-type those of us who wear black play guitar and like to rock out? In other words no Korn does not worship the devil among many other bands that has been wrongfully stereo-typed by remarks like these.

All Hard Rock or, METAL bands have, at one time been accused "DEVIL WORSHIPERS". Though none have ever been proven so, our parents fears, have turned most of them into multi-million and, even Billionaires (KISS). these rumors have persisted since Alice Cooper and, BLACK SABBATH, in the '70's and, as long as there is Hard Rock and, Parents, I suspect, they always will. tell Your Mom that they are safe. just another Rock Band.
