Oh yes. Once the pipe has been completely dissolved, the drain will run freely. You'll be able to see evidence of the free flow very quickly in the room directly beneath the bathtub.

I find that most of the clogged drains in my house are caused by hair being trapped around the plug mechanism or grease. To get rid of the hair, I slip in a long thin plastic device with backwards pointing barbs along the sides. I believe you can get those at most home improvement or hardware stores. It's very effective in catching the hair and it's a lot less dangerous than pouring a caustic acid down your drain. As for the grease, I typically pour boiling hot water down the drain. It breaks up the grease quite well.

Pouring battery acid down any drain would be an extraordinaryily dumb thing to do. It won't help clog the drain and could eat anything metal in two, thereby causing more problems than a plugged line.

You want to pay for a new plumbing job in your house? Then I wouldn't pour battery acid down the drain.

I would use drano max gel works great for drains fights through standing water disolves everything and is safe for drains ....alot better than battery acid, and btw where did you get that????Who sold this to you???lol For grease i would use a chemical called lye its strong, but very effective the chemical in lye turns grease into soap and gets washes away.

buy a drain snake. It gets rid of clogs by grabbing them and pulling then out. Follow the directions. Even I could do it. I suggest a nice metal one. It costs a lot less than a plumber and is much safer than strong chemicals, and quicker.
