I used a powder foundation, and I had a smooth porcelain look. But it made me break out, ha.

Whats a great foundation for dryish skin, but its a bit oily on the "T-Zone". And is NOT expensive and is light-weight. Hopefully it'll leave off this effect:

(This skin isn't photoshopped, by the way).

Is Bare Essentials/Mineral make-up really that good?

I'm really desperate and need your help :]
10points to best answer. And thumbs up to anyone that answers.
Thanks.

First Buy a foundation for your skin tone, and skin type.....Then use powder on top of it to get that smooth look, but don't put on to much powder, also before applying makeup make sure your face is freshly washed with warm water (this will open pores and make skin more fresh looking) and moisturize well, doing things before applying your face actually makes a huge difference. I use to use the most stupid moisturizer, like for Example if I had coconut body lotion lying around I would use it on my face and my makeup would come off in a hour. I bought cetaphil facial moisturizer and my makeup has looked awesome since.....

If you want cream foundation, try Cashmere Perfect by L'Oreal if you are looking for a low end product. Follow with a light powder. Don't care for mineral makeup myself, it is basically powder and very over-rated.

I have one word for you:

Arbonne

Not joking. I'm not a seller of Arbonne so don't worry. :o) I've used it. They are the only skin product that literally is 100% allergy free and is for all skins. I'm not kidding you. I've had friends with your problem and they actually gear it for people like you. Just look up the site and it'll tell you everything. I've used their stuff and it works gooood. They might even be able to tell you who sells in your area.

Buy any foundation you want. It doesn't matter. But you have to wash your face, so you don't break out. Probably at around nighttime. Hope I helped. :D

I know what you mean.

Clinique is very good in my opinion. Worth the money.

It really does give a porcelain look.

And I agree, mineral make-up is overrated.
